Hey there! I'm Rhythm
Born and raised in the lively city of Washington DC, I’ve always felt the heart of this place flow through my work. DC isn’t just a political hub; it's a vibrant canvas, a city that's constantly evolving and making room for creativity to thrive. Every street corner has a story, every mural has a heartbeat, and I’m here to add my splash of color to it!
From a young age, I found myself captivated by the power of creation. Whether it was sketching on the backs of old notebooks or crafting makeshift sculptures from bits and bobs I found, I knew art was my calling. It’s been a wild ride ever since! As a graduate of the Duke Ellington School of the Performing Arts, I learned the value of experimentation, practice, and diving headfirst into new mediums and techniques.
I consider myself a multidisciplinary artist, always expanding my horizons—one day you’ll find me lost in the flow of painting a portrait, and the next, I’m getting my hands dirty with clay or bringing an idea to life through printmaking or sewing. I believe art should never be confined to one form, one style, or one medium. I love the thrill of switching things up, challenging myself, and letting my curiosity lead the way.
Washington DC has been my constant muse. It’s a city of rich history, dynamic culture, and, more importantly, a place that’s growing every day to make space for the creative arts. I’m here to contribute to that growth, to share stories through my art, and to help make this city a little more colorful and alive.
When I'm not in my studio, you might catch me exploring local shows and performances, popping up with my handmade art, jewlery and prints, or just wandering around the city, finding inspiration in the most unexpected places. I’m passionate about connecting with fellow creatives and dreamers who believe in the transformative power of art.
So, that’s a bit about me—a DC native, an ever-evolving artist, and someone who truly believes in the beauty of handmade, heartfelt creations.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope my art brings a little joy, thought, and inspiration to your day.
